Deer Resistant Plants

There are few sure-fire ways to keep deer from nibbling your garden area except an eight foot fence. However having a barrier of plants deer don't like can help discourage them from entering your area. Here is a list of plants found to be disliked by deer. Deer tend to pass up plants with the following characteristics: fuzzy foliage, ferns, ornamental grasses, and other plants with tiny, dense hairs are hard for deer to swallow. Plants with these flavors turn deer off: lemon, mint, sage, bitter, and pungent (hot and spicy). If anyone has more to contribute it would be greatly appreciated.
