COMMENTS:
Yellow Dock has narrow, pointed leaves with dense whorls of flowers. The flowers turns into a long seed stalk which readily self seeds and can become invasive.
Uses: The roots of yellow dock are harvested in Spring and Fall. The roots stimulate liver bile, clear toxins, and are used for chronic skin disorders. They treat psoriasis and constipation. The iron rich leaves soothe nettle stings. All bitter tastes help detoxify the body. Sweet and sour tastes together helps to balance the liver.
