COMMENTS:
Creeping Pennyroyal has small peppermint scented leaves. Creeper that forms a nice mound or ground cover.
Uses: pennyroyal was used in earlier times to flavor puddings and sauces. Tea is still used to soothe headaches. Strong minty aroma that repels ants and fleas. Oil is a abortifacient, not to be used during pregnancy.
Insect Repellent: Pennyroyal oil contains many natural insect repellents. Try it to repell against flies, gnats, mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks.

Digestive Aid: Although not as strong as peppermint, pennyroyal helps relax the digestive tract.
Pet Care: Use pennyroyal as a flea collar for your dog. Attached a small pouch filled with pennyroyal to your dogs collar to keep the fleas away. Dosage: To use to repell insects rub the fresh leaves on your skin or clothing. I find this lasts for about 1/2 to an 1 hour against mosquitoes. Use can soak it in olive oil or your favorite cream which seems to have longer lasting affects.
To treat cough and upset stomach use 1-2 teaspoon of dried herbage to cup of boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes and drink up to 2 cups a day.
