COMMENTS:
Compass plant, a native to North America has large, deeply toothed leaves that tend to point north and south which is how it got its name. Bears multiple bright yellow sunflower type blossoms. A striking plant that does well in dry conditions.
Uses: The leaf and root are used as a tonic, emetic, and diuretic. A good treatment for dry cough and asthma as has expectorant qualities.
